The Spiritual Meaning Behind Friday 13th And February 22.

Thanks again for joining me on this weeks Wisdom Wednesday, where we will be exploring the spiritual meaning of Friday the 13th and February 22! We are exploring these to days because I will be doing my chair massages on both of these days, which I want to bring a more inspirational and positive influence to these days. How do you feel about these 2 days, and are you superstitious about the number 13? Let’s start this journey and dive in!

Friday the 13th

I want to break this day into two sections; The spiritual mean of Friday by itself and the number 13. First, let’s explore the spiritual roots of Friday.

Friday the name itself is inspired by a few different goddesses that represent love; Freya the Norse goddess and Frigg or Frigga which is a German goddess or love. Some resources refer the two goddess to be of the same origin. Either way the name of Friday stems from there.

Did you also know that each day of the week has a planetary energy tied to it? Friday’s planet is Venus, and it only makes sense since the goddesses representing this day are all about love. A day about love, beauty, and connection. Connection with self or others and relaxing in the moments of those connections. Friday seems like it should be a great day to focus on acts of kindness and self care which can honor the energy of Friday. Now, let’s transition into the energy of the number 13 to see what other energies of Friday the 13th can bring!

The number thirteen for most people seem to bring bad energy or luck. However, with good intent and an open mind, the energy of this number can ultimately be powerful. In numerology, numbers are believed to hold specific vibrational meanings that influence growth, cycles, and personal evolution. From that perspective, thirteen is not something to fear, but rather a number associated with change, renewal, and rebuilding. The number one is associated with new beginnings, fresh cycles, freedom, and independence. The number three is associated with building foundations while honoring space and room for growth. When these to numbers get added together creating the number four, it can bring an energy of safety and stability.

Summerizing the energy of Friday the thirteenth, this day can be celebrated by channeling the energies of love, connections, building, and honoring growth. Make time for yourself this Friday the thirteenth and keep in mind of connecting with others. Life is all about finding balance with yourself and making connections with others. This brings us to the next topic of this journey, February twenty-second. A numerology energy also based on connections.

February 22nd

February 22 also written as 2/22. Repeating numbers add to the energy of numbers on top of the number 2 which has an energy of duality, balance, and harmony. Sometimes when we have duality, like two sides to something, it can come together and create harmony or balance. This is usually accomplished when we see both side or perspectives on things. I know this is a challenging concept but this is the power of the number two energy, or as I recently read in a book that talked about dyad or Latin word for two.

When the number two shows up as being repeated such as 2/22, it amplifies that energy of two and creates a powerful opportunity for spiritually awakening as well as aligning ourselves with a higher truth. I feel this is a gentle nudge from the universe indicating that we are on the right path and to continue trusting the journey ahead, because it can lead to balance and harmony within ourselves as well as others.

This repeating number seems to also invite us to cooperate with others in the world and take care of ourselves first in order to find that balance. Speaking on cooperation with others, here’s a fun fact about February 22nd that I found the be interesting. This happens to be George Washington’s birthday, whom was the first person to sign the constitution in addition to becoming the first president of the US. I know there’s a lot of mixed emotions related to our history, but the intention here is to acknowledge the energy of co-creation, expansion, and that we become stronger when everyone joins together.

I feel I may have went down a rabbit hole of information with numerology, which lead to some rambling and writing all over the place. However, in summerisation, both of these days I just talked about share a mutual energy of love, unity, and connection with ourselves and others. So instead of thinking negatively on Friday the 13, let’s embrace the opposite energy and celebrate ourselves!
